Hisham Tawfik, Minister of Public Business Sector, attended the signing of the Mokattam Corniche development contract between Al-Nasr Housing and Construction — part of the Holding Company for Construction and Development — and Scope Properties.
Speaking at the ceremony, Tawfik described the project as a turning point for the Mokattam area, and part of the ministry’s strategy for making better use of subsidiary company assets in partnership with the private sector and maximising the returns achieved from them.
The development covers about two million square metres, with views over the Giza Pyramids, the Salah El-Din Citadel, Fatimid Cairo and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation. It is divided into two parcels: the Mokattam Corniche and terraces at 1.3 million square metres, and a 750,000 square metre serviced residential compound on the middle plateau.
